Things I have learnt from my mom

Life has amazing things in your basket when you want to search for it. My life was really like a regular minor student before lockdown, but in this lockdown, I went through a change which made my ‘myself’ stronger in myself. This gift of knowledge was given to me by my mom.

About my mom

My mom (Sangita Dey) is a woman who is source to all my knowledge and life’s stream. She, all her life has been an average homemaker all her life. But my mom is very special to me. I am always indebted to my mom for all the sacrifices she has made for me. If you ask me honestly, I could have written a whole book on what I have learnt for years of my growth. But this blog will mainly be focusing on what she has taught me in these tough times.

LIFE LESSONS FROM MY MOM

1. Never get your mind blocked

She taught me that it is a big loss for you to block your thinking to your environment and sticking to an ideology, irrespective of how the other ideologies can be beneficial for us. She always tells me that we have to keep learning and it can’t be done when we have built our opinions about things. These opinions always let us make judgements about others and doesn’t let us learn from them. My mom taught me that when you get shy to learn, you are at loss.

2. Never create a circle and talk with everybody

Mom got me on this!! creating a circle is once again, a sign that you have your mind blocked. When you create a circle, you tend to ignore other people’s great advice.

“IF YOU DON’T MIX UP WITH PEOPLE, THEN HOW YOU WILL LEARN ABOUT THIER IDEAS AND HOW THEY THINK” _ My mother

When you mix up with people, without any judgement in your mind, you tend to get an idea of the types of people you will find in your whole life and when you know it, you know how to deal with them.

3. Keep Alternatives for everything

Now this might sound like, “Prepare yourself for everything” quote but believe me, it’s not that. Kee an option always helps you to stay steady in the long run. This never means that you don’t work hard for your main option, this means that you should be fearless about what you are doing, let it go off, if it goes off. But you can at least roar like a lion that you have no remorse for your deeds.

My Personal views about these lessons

My mom, has always led a life of struggle, but I have not seen a lady stronger than her in my entire life (which is quite short, I admit). A personal skill about mom, that I love in her is her observation skills. She, with her great wisdom of knowledge has always enlightened the path for me. Whenever, my conscience has judged mom’s decisions, unbiasedly, it has always appeared to be correct to me.

This was my mom’s lessons which I told you.

Finally, love you mom, for everything you gave me, for everything I expect to get from you later ahead in my life from you.
